Pixel Syndicate LLC operates pixelsyndicate.org. This notice says what is collected, why, and who else sees it. It is written to be read rather than to cover anyone.
What is collected
Analytics. Every page uses Google Analytics. It sets cookies in your browser and records pages viewed, approximate location derived from network address, referring site, device and browser type, and time on page. It is used to see which pages are read. It is not used to build a profile of you.
Payment. When you buy a membership, payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Stripe collects your email address, your name, your card details and your billing country. Card details are never sent to Pixel Syndicate and are never held by Pixel Syndicate.
Membership record. When a payment completes, a record is written holding your email address, an identifier issued by Stripe, which membership you bought, and the dates it started and last changed. That record exists so a membership can be recognised. If you choose a display name and opt in, that display name, whether your membership is current, and the date it started are published on a public page, and nothing else about you is published.
Email. If you write to the support address, that message and your address are held for as long as needed to answer you.
Nothing else is collected. There is no tracking pixel from an advertising network, no data broker, and nothing is sold or rented to anyone.
Cookies
The only cookies set are the ones Google Analytics sets, and the ones Stripe sets on its own checkout pages while you are paying. Blocking cookies in your browser stops the analytics cookies. The site works without them.
Who else sees it
Google, as the provider of the analytics.
Stripe, as the payment processor. Stripe holds its own record of your payment under its own privacy terms.
Vercel, which serves the site and keeps standard server logs including network addresses.
Supabase, which stores the membership record.
Each of these is a processor doing a job for Pixel Syndicate. None of them is given the data to use for its own marketing.
Records are also disclosed where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
The membership record is kept while the membership is active and afterwards while it is needed for tax and accounting.
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics.
Support email is kept while it is needed to answer you.
What you can ask for
Write to support@pixelsyndicate.org and ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Deletion of the membership record ends the membership, because the record is the membership.
Some records cannot be deleted on request. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Children
The site is not for anyone under sixteen and no membership is sold to anyone under sixteen.
Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
Job seeker profiles
A profile is something you choose to create. Nothing on this site requires one, and the job listings are readable without one.
If you create one, it holds what you put in it: your name, where you would work from and whether you would relocate, the email address or phone number you give and which of the two you prefer, what you are looking for by arrangement, by type of employment and by salary range, the links you add to your resume, your LinkedIn, your portfolio or anything else you want read, and your answers to the five questions every profile is asked.
Your profile is visible to recruiters. It is not visible to other people using the site, it carries a no index and no follow directive so search engines do not list it, and it is never published as part of the public site.
Nothing in a profile is scored, rated or turned into a personality type. The five questions are answered in your own words and those words are what a recruiter reads. No profile is sold, and no profile is shared with anyone who is not a recruiter using this site.
You can ask for your profile to be corrected or deleted at any time by writing to the address in the contact section of this notice, and deletion removes it rather than hiding it.
